Gordon Elliott Silver
Gordon Silver, a seasoned Financial Professional, delves into his first book, inspired by the intriguing concept of dual sexes. His personal journey, including the conception of his twin boys through IVF using ICSI, adds depth to his exploration. With humor and insight, he reflects on this marvel of modern science, intertwining personal anecdotes with broader reflections on life’s mysteries.
Previous Ventures: Construction and IT
From 2003 to 2008, I owned Edmonton Construction in Hanover, VA. This venture allowed me to showcase my Class A General Contractor skills, building modular homes and developing the Silver Meadows subdivision in East Henrico County.
As the President & Founder of CoreResource Inc. from 1999 to 2003, I led an IT services corporation with subsidiaries CoreWare and CoreTrain. CoreWare specialized in customizable software for the staffing industry, while CoreTrain provided education for Microsoft Certified Engineers.
From 1990 to 1999, I served as President at Bond International Software, establishing a successful corporation for the distribution of the European software package, Adapt, in the USA. The company thrived, achieving $3 million in annual sales volume.
Global IT Experience: London, Burnham, and Beyond
My international journey led me to various roles in London, England, including IT Consultant for Intrinsica Systems, Major Accounts Executive for Sorbus, Inc., and Applications Business Systems Manager for Data General.
Early Career in South Africa
My career began in South Africa, where I held Information Systems Manager roles at HL & H and Quinton Hazel. Notably, at HL & H, I implemented strategic changes resulting in a 50% improvement in database throughput.
Educational Roots:
My educational journey began at Parktown Boys’ High School in Johannesburg, South Africa, and culminated in a B.S. degree in Computer Sciences.
Marital Milestones:
My life’s chapters include three marriages, each contributing uniquely to my journey. When I left South Africa, it was the beginning of a new chapter prompted by my first marriage’s end. Subsequently, my relocation to the USA was motivated by homesickness for my second wife, a native of the USA. For nearly 30 years, I’ve shared my life with my third wife, creating a family that’s a testament to love’s enduring strength.
Family Narratives:
In the tapestry of life, I’ve experienced both joy and heartbreak. Two daughters from my first marriage, and tragically losing my oldest daughter in a 1999 car accident, shaped my understanding of life’s fragility. The joy of raising twin boys with my current wife, conceived through fertilization techniques, inspired profound reflections shared in my book, “The Elliott File.”

In a future world teetering on the edge of technological marvels and social upheaval, “The Elliott File” delves into the clash between scientific progress and societal norms surrounding fertility treatments. Dr. Leslie Craswell, a pioneering reproductive endocrinologist at the Baywater Women’s Clinic, faces relentless opposition from protesters who vehemently reject her groundbreaking work in reshaping traditional reproduction.
As Dr. Craswell battles both ethical dilemmas and societal resistance, her revolutionary fertility technique, aiming to create embryos using the nucleus from one woman’s egg to fertilize another’s, becomes a focal point of controversy. The narrative unfolds against a backdrop of tension, exploring the intricate dance between innovation and ingrained societal expectations.
A dramatic turn of events occurs when an attempt on Dr. Craswell’s life results in an unintended tragedy. The aftermath reveals the contrasting motivations of a corrupt attorney seeking to vindicate the perpetrator and two determined police officers working tirelessly to bring justice and protect Dr. Craswell, as well as the couple, Azure and Gisele Elliott, poised to take the experimental procedure beyond the lab.
Dr. Craswell’s once controversial experiment transforms into a pivotal method for human survival. The story unravels over a century, exploring the unintended consequences of altering gender ratios through her innovative technique. As environmental disasters and technological threats loom, the narrative raises profound questions about the ethical quandaries and societal repercussions of groundbreaking scientific advancements.
“The Elliott File” weaves a complex and thought-provoking tapestry, where the interplay of technological advancement, societal resistance, and the human quest for survival unfolds against a backdrop of moral complexity. It is a compelling exploration of the intricate relationship between science and society, navigating a future shaped by innovation and the consequences that follow.
